Hey beautiful boss lady entrepreneur!
On Friday I put a shout out to the Rising Sisters in my private Facebook group about some nasty energy I’d been sitting with the past few days.
I’d been having really vivid nightmares and the heavy, dense feelings had lingered into the day and were hard to shift.
I was trying to get my action plan in place for the next quarter but instead found myself disappearing into the Youtube Video and Netflix Vortex of Doom.
My body felt tired and I was carrying this constant underlying anxiety which felt really, really shitty. I’d tried naps, detox baths, going for runs and having adventure dates with my man but the undercurrent of unease was still there.
I’d also been completely messing up my timing and was late for a few business meetings and completely missed one all together!
So if you feel like you’ve been drowning in a big ol’ bowl of crazy soup lately, I’m here to tell you you’re not alone!
When I asked in The Rising Wild Sisterhood FB group if anyone else had been feeling similar shifts the overwhelming response was one of “Oh my god! Me too!! WTF is happening??!”
Firstly, let me just say that no matter what’s going on for you at the moment, it’s okay and these feelings will pass.
The second thing I’ll say that being a woman is truly an incredible gift (TRULY!) but it also comes with it’s little shadow gifts, such as how energetically we women are tied to the moon and planetary shifts.
At the moment in the cosmic playground swimming above our heads there is something called Mercury Retrograde which puts a huge spanner in the works down here for us celestial beings in human skin suits (humans). This means technology can be an arsehole, communication mishaps abound and generally we can feel a wee bit out of whack – especially when it comes to feeling conflicted in our desires and decisions (super fun for us female entrepreneurs!).
And April 16 is the New Moon, which can also bring it’s own form of release where many women feel emotional, lethargic, depleted, fragile and “not quite themselves” in the days leading up to the new moon.
Put the two together and you’ve got an A Grade Shit-Show!
So what can you do to help this energy shift?
Well, the good news is it will naturally shift on its own in a few days when the planets sort themselves out but in the meantime, the best thing you can do is PRACTICE PATIENCE!
- Be gentle with yourself and let go of the need to control (easier said than done, I know)
- Listen to your body and honour your needs
- Get away from technology and go out in nature
- Lie flat on the grass, breath deeply and ground yourself
- Journal to get the thoughts swimming in your head out of your body and onto paper
- Have detox baths with bi-carb soda, epsom salts and essential oils
- Continue breathing – really focus on bringing the breath all the way down into your core
- Drink PLENTY of filtered water
The new moon is the perfect time to set new intentions for the month ahead so instead of rejecting your emotional state at this time and fighting yourself, instead tune into what these emotions are communicating to you. Perhaps they are here to show you what is and isn’t in alignment for you and what old thoughts, patterns and agreements need to be released in order for you to embrace a new and exciting chapter in the month ahead.
Just stop fighting for a moment and listen. Your soul is trying to communicate with you so get out of your head and honour your own inner voice. She’s there for a reason!
And above all, go gently. Honour yourself. There is nothing “wrong” – it just is what it is – and all things will come to an end, even if it feels like they never will!
